As solopreneurs, we start where we are. And yes— that often means starting from scratch.
Don’t get stymied by the fact that you’re not yet the “rock star” you once were in your corporate or former work-life role. And don’t let yourself get stuck in impostor syndrome, asking: “Who do I think I am?!”
Remember: there were parts of your old work role—perhaps those long meetings, that rigid schedule, the constant demands and job location—that made you dream about working differently. About creating something that was entirely yours.
Maybe you didn’t call it “solopreneurship” back then. Maybe you still don’t think of it as a “business” (at least not yet). You simply want the freedom to do what you want—when and where you want—and if it brings in income that sustains the lifestyle you choose? Even better.
At Solopreneur Café, we’re like-minded friends and collaborators on this path. Each of us nurtures different goals/dreams and each deals with different challenges... What we share is a belief in starting small… and valuing our own contributions and ideas before anyone else “validates” them.
We don’t need permission. We don’t need approval. We can follow our dreams because they belong to us.
So, begin. Right where you are.
Stay awhile—ask for what you need, share your wisdom, and know you’ve found company for the journey.
We’re glad you’re here.
